How is loose leaf different from tea bags?

Loose leaf lets you adjust strength to taste and the tin keeps the tea fresh and aromatic. Tea bags are quicker for daily use.

Does it contain caffeine?

Yes. As a caffeinated tea it contains natural caffeine, lighter than coffee. It is best enjoyed in the morning or afternoon rather than late at night.

How do I brew it?

Use water at about 80°C (not boiling). Add one teaspoon of leaves per cup, steep 2–3 minutes, then strain. Over-boiling and over-steeping are the main causes of bitterness in green tea.

Is it bitter?

No, when brewed at around 80°C for 2–3 minutes. Boiling water is the usual cause of bitterness.

Does it contain added sugar?

No. It contains no added sugar and no artificial flavours or preservatives. Any sweetness comes from the natural ingredients, and you can add your own honey or sweetener to taste.

Yes, though the second brew will be lighter.
